The realization that the month of October is almost over hits me suddenly, adding a taste of sadness to my day.

Though the sun is still scorchingly bright, the air nips irritably, reminding that the Gothic bleakness of November is just around the bend of time.

Soon, flaming leaves will forsake clinging branch; settle to the hibernating ground. Clear ink will drip from cloudy sky, smearing the landscape; spreading a pool of lasting coldness.

The Earth will shift, linger for a while. Frozen in time; clear and sharp like the edges of water, and blurred like a film of breath on glass. Both in turn, trapped in the turning of life. Lingering… but not lasting.

And then recycling.

Not yet.

Not just yet.

Until then, I shall revel in this.

On a lighter note, this is what my day consists of. Banana chocolate chip bread, peppermint hot chocolate (home made of course. WITH Sucanat, of course 🙂

Then throw in my favorite notebook, a glass of water, one of the best pens ever invented, and my laptop.

That makes for a good day. Along with some knitting.

And as a parting shot, I’ll give you a Moment With Terrence. Because we all know how much fun it is to frantically eat my camera strap.

Love, Blessings & Thanks,

Amanda
